Core facility of biomedical imaging

The confocal microscopy core facility provides "open access" confocal laser scanning microscopy (LSM) technology to all end-users in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. However, please note that we are not a service facility as we do not routinely perform experiments for researchers, but only provide access to imaging platforms and assistance on the imaging aspects of the user's experiment.

The Facility's equipment includes a:

• Zeiss LSM 980 Airyscan 2 Confocal & Superresolution Microscope
• Zeiss LSM 780 ELYRA Confocal & Superresolution Microscope
• Zeiss LSM 510 DUO Confocal Microscope (currently out of service!)
• Olympus FV1200MPE Multiphoton Confocal Microscope

Note that only LSM980 and 780 are currently equipped with temperature and CO2 controlled chambers.

Additional software packages available for users include Fiji, Imaris, Arivis Vision 4D, Autoquant, Neurolucida.
